Football in September

It was heartening to see the college football season opening last night IN SEPTEMBER, the way God and Knute Rockne intended it to be, for the first time in a couple of decades. Like baseball in March, football in August should be for exhibitions only.

Now if we can just get our schools to open the day after Labor Day, we'd be making some real progress here.
