Tax Freedom Day

Today is Tax Freedom Day for 2006, the day when the average American worker passes from indentured government servitude to being allowed to keep what is rightfully theirs. That it is this late in the year shows that our various levels of government in total are several times as large as they should be. The continued growth of government is by far the biggest threat to our civil liberties, yet you never hear a peep out of those who claim to be looking out for such things.
